A Yoga therapy program is taught the traditional way, one-on-one.  We use the tools of Yoga and Ayurveda as a complete program. Likewise there are many benefits to combining Yoga and Ayurveda.

  • chronic pain or injury
  • may be stressed
  • managing illness

The list can be endless really, as everyone no matter their age or condition will benefit from one-on-one Yoga Therapy. Gently we guide you to connect with your body through the breath, adjust your posture and provide exercises to reduce any inflammation.  A practice is designed, taught and videoed for you to follow as you travel through each stage to wellness and is nurtueing for your specific needs.

Yoga Ayurveda therapy program is designed for your needs

Each person has unique needs and may not benefit going to a group class. Following a structured class may included exercises that can exacerbate your condition.  In Yoga therapy we work with you very closely.

You will learn what your body needs and how to work with it and be supported to make changes to your life. We help you to understand your bodies strengths and weaknesses. You will learn how to bring this awareness into your daily life.

We also use the science of life tools from Ayurveda and learn to listen deeply to our all of the body, mind, digestive system, lungs, nerves etc are so important. A Yoga Ayurveda Therapist works closely with you to create a smooth rhythm and flow.

A Yoga Therapy program is tailored for your unique needs after an consultation and physical assessment. There are several stages to wellness and you will be guided along the way. You will receive a video of each session for you to easily follow.

We see the cat and dog whenever they get up, have a stretch. Often during the day we can sit in confined postures for many hours. The mind can be going so much faster than the body. Learning to slow down, develop good posture and life style practices will give you energy to do all the things you want in life.

Moving and being still combined with the breathing is a powerful tool for living a healthy life. Understanding when we need to slow down or move is empowering. Together we will help you create a practice that grows with you and you can make your own to treat your individual needs.

At Yoga Works for Over 40s we focus on the changes of the body as we go through life and adjust our programs to suit the individuals needs.  You will learn how to integrate these wholistic practices that will benefit your mind and body naturally and sustainably.
